This September, Sag Harbor is going PURPLE for National Recovery Month!

SAFE in Sag Harbor is proud to partner annually with local businesses to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders, AND celebrate folks in recovery!

Lighting the Sag Harbor Windmill Purple from September 1-30, 2022: Thanks to the partnership of the Sag Harbor Village Trustees, our windmill will be lit purple for the entire month of September. This gesture will honor the lives lost to overdose, substance use disorder, suicide, and mental illness, as well as celebrate the commitment of folks who are in recovery.

Lighting Sag Harbor Businesses Purple from September 1-30, 2022: This September, local businesses will display SAFE's purple light bulbs outside to honor folks in recovery. Want a bulb for your home or business to participate? Contact the SAFE in Sag Harbor Coordinator: alana@hugsinc.org

SAFE in Sag Harbor Booth at Harborfest from September 10-11, 2022: Come visit our coalition members, learn more about our work in the community, spin the trivia wheel, and win some prizes!
